This cable has raw wires without any connector attached to allow you to hard wire the unit into a raw power source such as the aircraft power system. It also includes additional wires for data transfer if you were to connect directly into another device for transfering data.

It allows you to perform database updates or operating software updates. The PC connector is a DB9 Serial connector that is on most computers.
