Description
The Apollo Lunar Module was the first vehicle designed for the purpose of carrying astronauts from the Apollo Command Module (CM) to the moon’s surface and back. Also referred to LM or LEM (Lunar Explorer Module), the Lunar Module was built by Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation for the Apollo Program and was the first manned vehicle designed to operate completely outside the Earth’s environment. The model is approximately 11.5L x 8W x 7H.
